India vs England 4th Test Day 3 LIVE Streaming |
Hello everyone, settle in quickly, we have a serious Test match on our hands. The fate of this series hangs in the balance for India and it’s quite possible that it’ll all be settled today. They would’ve been out of it by now, if not for Cheteshwar Pujara’s unbelievable performance to tow them into an unfathomable first-innings lead. Pujara, a man who, some would argue, has been undervalued by this setup in the past. A man who has been dropped for not being in sync with the team’s aggressive outlook. Most others would’ve just blamed their bad fortune and faded away. But this is Pujara we’re talking about, someone who is consumed by cricket as Vishaal Loganathan writes
Pujara wasn’t the only star performer yesterday. There was this bearded off-spinner too who loves bowling against India at home – he has 24 wickets at a strike rate of below 35. In his first match of the series, Moeen Ali gave India a throwback to the dark times of 2014, running through the lower middle-order as the visitors collapsed from a solid base. Ali, coming back from a disastrous winter, relished the role of not being the main spinner. “I do feel like the role in this side is my best role, mainly as a batter and coming on as a second spinner and I feel it gives me more confidence, more freedom and I end up playing better,” Moeen said after play. Rob Johnston has more on how he’s put the doubts around his selection to bed, for now.
Karthik says: Even if one were to discount Mo’s batting, its crazy to think Rashid was preferred ahead of Mo. Eng made a mistake by going with Mo’s performance in Aus. With the Dukes ball & the drift he gets in Eng, Mo’s has always bowled very well. Jay Subramanyam says: England have a tendency to collapse in a heap and if that happens India could stage an extraordinary turnaround going into the final test. However if England build up two good partnerships they would be in the driver’s seat. A lead of 27 doesn’t give you enough cushion when you’ve to bat last. So, where are we at? Who is ahead in this one right now? Throwing in my two cents, I’d say this match is very even. Wasn’t that helpful. Okay, let’s put it this way: if the match were to get over today, India would probably come out on top. But, say if it goes deep into tomorrow, they’re in trouble.
